Maskenthine Lake July 30-31

Pathfinders and Friends:

For those of you who recieved our latest newsletter, our Maskenthine Lake event near Stanton, NE was cancelled for July 16-17.  However, we have managed to reschedule for July 30-31.  This will be basic living history, however come prepared to play in case enough troops and/or units make a presence.  I will forward further details (camping sites/restrictions, display area, ect.) as they come around.  This is not meant to be a major event, BUT we are looking and hoping to host a battle event at this locale in the near future (next year???) and would appreciate any thoughts and opinions from any present.  As a result, every individual/unit will be on their own for food, travel, ect., however we will get firewood of course and as a recreation area there are wonderful restrooms already on location, even showers!  There is no fee or park sticker required to enter the site.

To Pathfinders in paticular, a huge THANK YOU to all who endured and RESPONDED to my nagging e-mails to simply get thoughts and opinions concerning this event.  To all who didn’t reply, if you don’t like this new arrangement, well…tough.  You had your chance for input and didn’t voice it (uh-oh, sounds like Shane is morphing into teacher mode, like he’s talking to children, LoL!!!).  I hope to see all the Pathfinders there that can make it, should be fun and give us a chance to try the ground, interact with some visitors, and try out some new things.

Lt. Shaaaaane (a.k.a. Shane, for those of you unaware of the Forrest Gump connection to our unit)
